Cartridges Law has been awarded another seat on the Law Society Children’s Panel.
Heidi Davey, an Associate at Cartridges Law, has achieved accreditation to the prestigious Children’s Panel – an accreditation which means she can now represent children in court.
The Children Law Accreditation is a respected benchmark for legal professionals who represent children in legal proceedings. It is awarded to those who have shown exceptional knowledge of the intricate issues surrounding children’s welfare in legal cases and have proven their expertise to the panel through their experience in this field.
Following the successful completion of a training course, assessment and interview, Heidi has been awarded this respected accreditation and will now be able to represent children in legal cases.
Heidi, who joined Cartridges Law in 2017, graduated from university with a degree in Law in 2010 and went on obtain the necessary qualifications to practise as a Barrister. She is also a Fellow and advocate of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
With a range of experience in family law covering Local Authority involvement, child protection, adoption, and special guardianship orders as well as representing parents and family members who are accused of causing injury to a child, Heidi believes this appointment furthers the firm’s commitment to supporting vulnerable children and families and Cartridges dedication to safeguarding children’s welfare.
She said: “This felt like a natural career progression for me, and I am pleased to now be able to represent children within Court proceedings. Their welfare is paramount and the outcome for them is lifelong. So, it is essential we, as lawyers, get it right.”
Heidi joins her colleagues, Partner Nicky Mein and Associate Solicitor Hannah Quick, as members of the Children’s Panel.
