Joined Cartridges on : July 2017

Heidi graduated from university with a degree in Law in 2010 and went on to study the bar professional training course and obtained the necessary qualifications to practise as a Barrister. Heidi was called to the Bar in 2011. She gained experience working in a law firm in the Torbay area, before moving to Cartridges Law. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives

Heidi regularly represents parents and other family members involved with the Local Authority. This includes the pre proceeding process and Court proceedings. She advises on issues relating to child protection, adoption, and special guardianship orders.

Heidi’s experience includes representing parents and family members who are accused of causing injury to a child. She also represents parents and grandparents within private law disputes relating to their children and grandchildren, and she represents people seeking injunctive relief.

Heidi has vast experience representing people with differing needs, including but not limited to learning needs, substance addiction, mental health difficulties, those suffering from domestic abuse and people whose first language is not English. She also has experience working with professionals from various support services.

I knew I wanted to be a Barrister from a young age and after qualifying, I took a role in a family solicitor firm and here I am 11 years later, and I really couldn’t imagine doing anything else. There isn’t anything more emotive than securing positive outcomes for children and families.
