Sabina is a Partner at Cartridges Law and a Solicitor in the Family Team where she leads our work advising on the financial and property aspects of divorce or separation, for married or unmarried couples:
- Claims on the family home, and on any other properties (in the UK or overseas)
- Pensions on divorce
- Business interests including shares in a family business
- Claims for financial support, spousal maintenance and child maintenance
- Pre nuptial and cohabitation agreements
Sabina also advises on children issues arising on divorce or separation:
- Arrangements for where the children will live and for time spent with each parent
- “Relocation” cases where one parent wishes to move the children abroad
Sabina qualified as a Solicitor in 1995 and has specialised in family law throughout her career. Having gained experience in all aspects of family law, she now focusses on the financial aspects of divorce and relationship breakdown. She currently holds specialist accreditations from Resolution for “Financial Remedies on Divorce” and for “Pensions on Divorce” in recognition of her expertise in these areas of family law.
Sabina previously served on the Home Office panel of solicitors for international child abduction cases, where she gained niche experience of children cases with an international element, and held the Resolution accreditation in this field. She also qualified as a mediator with the Family Mediation Council in 2015 and although she no longer practices as a mediator, this training and experience has added to her skillset in the family law context.
Sabina is a Trustee of the Phoenix Arts Centre in Exeter.
“Having trained as a family mediator and a collaborative lawyer, I bring an objective, constructive, and non-confrontational approach to my cases and wherever possible will work with clients and other lawyers to build consensus and find agreed solutions. However I am also mindful of the need to progress matters and ensure that my work is cost and time effective for clients. In those cases that require a court application, I will recommend this at the appropriate time and I am experienced in guiding and supporting clients through the process.”
