Nicky brings a unique blend of skills and experience to her role as a Partner and Head of the highly regarded Family Care team at Cartridges Law.

Nicky supervises and manages her team with a clear focus on ensuring that all work is carried out under her guidance and to the highest professional standards. Her leadership style is both supportive and hands-on, fostering a collaborative environment where her team can thrive.

Nicky’s earlier career in social work, where she supported young people in care and care leavers, adds a unique blend of skills to her impressive expertise. This foundation of advocacy and empathy inspired her transition to law, and in 2001, she qualified as a solicitor.

As Head of the Family Care team, Nicky has established herself as a trusted and tenacious advocate, recognised for her extensive experience in all aspects of children law. She is on the Law Society Children’s Panel – an accreditation which means she can represent children in court. Her particular area expertise lies in cases involving local authorities and private law disputes where the court determines that a child should be separately represented by a Cafcass Guardian.

Nicky is deeply committed to ensuring her clients feel supported and understood during what is often one of the most challenging periods of their lives. She is passionate about presenting her clients’ cases with strength and clarity while ensuring their voices are genuinely heard.
