Nicky Mein

Managing Partner
Joined Cartridges on : January 2007

Nicky initially qualified as a Social Worker, primarily working with young people in care, and then care leavers. She however then transferred to the Law, qualifying as a solicitor in 2001 and working for a Local Authority until she joined Cartridges Law in 2007, becoming a Partner in 2010.

Her qualifications include a BA Hons Applied Social Studies, CQSW, and post graduate diplomas in Law, Legal Practice, and Child Studies

Nicky now splits her time between her case work and her role as the firm’s managing partner. She has extensive experience of all areas of children law work, however her particular area of expertise is in cases involving the Local Authority, and in private law disputes where the Court has determined the child should be joined to the proceedings and have their own representation through a Cafcass Guardian.

In family law you are often advising people at one of the most vulnerable times of their life, therefore making sure that their case is put forward as strongly as it can be, and that they feel they are being heard, is key to the role.
