Name: Ros Davies

Job title: Private Client Practitioner

What does your job involve?
Most days, you’ll find me preparing and submitting probate applications, administering estates, and preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney and wills for clients.

What is the biggest misconception people have about your job?
A lot of people assume that my job’s boring – it’s not! There’s also a misconception that it’s all about death, but it’s actually about making life a bit easier, for ourselves and for those who may look after us in future and remain after we’re gone.

What is the biggest challenge you face in your job?
The hardest part of my job is assisting people when they’re at the most vulnerable after losing someone close to them. Working on Wills can be challenging too when someone is anxious to leave things in order for their loved ones.

What qualities or attributes do you think you need to work in law?
Patience, understanding and sympathy

What is your top legal tip?
When choosing a solicitor, getting a personal recommendation is often the best way to find the right representation for you.
