Chartered Legal Executive and Senior Associate Anita Laws leads on divorce and financial matters in the family team at Cartridges Law.
Anita began her ILEX studies as a mature student and then joined Cartridges Law in 2003. She started as secretary to a partner in the firm who dealt with divorce and separation and specialised in financial aspects. She embraced the work, proving herself to be incredibly efficient and organised, learning the practicalities of managing legal files at work, while continuing with her studies. She qualified in 2008 and became a Fellow in 2010. It was a conscious decision for Anita to continue her work in this field and she has since worked on many hundreds of divorce, separation and financial cases, covering all financial aspects including pension shares, lump sum payments, and where business ownership is involved.
