As part of our client spotlight series we talked to Fresh Ground Films, who have been a Cartridges Law client since 2018. We asked how 2020 has been for them and what the future looks like.

When did you become a Cartridges Law client?
August 2018
How have our business team helped you?
As well as working together to create our terms of business and privacy policy, Leanne from the Business team has been instrumental in guiding my decisions across different aspects of the company direction, from pricing, intellectual property, GDPR, and safeguarding both my crew and clients both on-set and off.
What challenges have you faced in the past few months and how did you overcome them?
With most of our projects being postponed or cancelled due to COVID-19 and lockdown we had to adapt to a mostly non face-to-face filming service. Also using stock and pre-shot footage we created a series of free business support social media videos, for small business and healthcare organisations to help them stay connected to their clients. We are still adapting and steadily finding new ways to work with our clients safely, filming with PPE and social distancing sometimes, or remote or self-filming and using stock where not. We’re really encouraged by what’s still possible and more important now than ever in these times – and having the support and guidance of Cartridges Business Team is invaluable through this.
Where do you see the business in five years’ time?
Doing what we do know, but hopefully with an expanded team of like-minded, creative and problem solving people!
What is your best piece of advice for similar businesses to yours?
Don’t be afraid to ask for help! You can’t do it alone, and there are people out there who want to help you and get you to where you want to be. Also, don’t doubt yourself! Do things a bit at a time, steadily and carefully and you can get were you want to be.
